Influencia de las universidades colombianas sobre la percepción de la Responsabilidad Social Empresaria de sus estudiantes

Resumen

Los contenidos sobre Responsabilidad Social Empresaria que se enseñan en las universidades influyen en las percepciones de los estudiantes sobre este concepto. De ahí la importancia del principal objetivo de este trabajo: evaluar si los estudiantes de gestión de diferentes universidades de un mismo país poseen percepciones similares o diferentes sobre este concepto. Se seleccionó una muestra de 925 estudiantes de carreras de gestión de nueve universidades colombianas, y se midió si eran capaces de reconocer 18 prácticas de Responsabilidad Social Empresaria. Mediante análisis factorial se validó que esas prácticas operacionalizan cuatro dimensiones de la Responsabilidad Social (interna, con la sostenibilidad, con los stakeholders del mercado, con la comunidad). Se encontró que: 1) el reconocimiento de esas dimensiones es relativamente alto, pero que existe un mayor reconocimiento de las dos primeras; 2) las percepciones no están influidas por las universidades ni otras variables académicas (carrera y grado), pero sí lo están parcialmente por variables socio-demográficas (género, edad, experiencia laboral). Se concluye que las universidades colombianas enseñan contenidos similares sobre la responsabilidad social, pero que ponen más foco en la sostenibilidad y la responsabilidad interna.
