Abstract

The article studies the impact of information and communication technologies in the teaching-learning process as a paradigm of an educational model. The impact of these on university education systems in the face of the effects of COVID 19 is analyzed. A case study is presented based on the practical experience of the use of virtual teaching-learning platforms for undergraduate and graduate students at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Havana, from the application of surveys directed to students and teachers. The results show that the virtualization of teaching constitutes a challenge and an opportunity, it is recognized that this type of model requires more methodological work related to the use and management of digital technologies, despite the demonstrated advances, it is necessary to strengthen the strategies pedagogical-methodological that encourage teachers to use more resources available in the teaching-learning platform.
